Fresh Air For Sale! #9

It might sound absolutely ridiculous, but a billionaire in Beijing, China thinks that the air pollution problem has become such an issue that he has decided to send a message to the people in his city by selling canned fresh air. Chen Guangbiao is smart enough to realize that, of course, this won't exactly help the problem, but he hopes that the people in his city will come to realize that they need to take better care of their environment, so that they and their children may continue living. The money made from selling the cans will go towards charity.
I completely agree that the air pollution problem in Beijing is serious and needs to be dealt with and I totally support how Guangbiao is going about this. They say the best things in life are free, and by showing that fresh air has become such a commodity, he is showing people that they have to take care of their environment.

  1. I think it's really cool how Guangbiao is advocating for cleaner air. I also believe that once an item is put on the market, value is added to it. Therefore, Guangbiao's choice in selling canned fresh air may in fact help individuals realize the significance of such a commodity. This in turn may cause a whole domino effect as individuals may start movements to promote the importance of clean air or some may even mimic Guangbiao in selling canned air, spreading the environmental message even further.

  2. I think this is a great idea to try and fight for their cause because it affects everyone in that area. It is a good way to raise money, as several realize the importance of the fresh air that they need. Hopefully their efforts pay out and things become healthier for Guanbio.

  3. This idea to sell clean air really sends a message. If something that most people can get for free is such a commodity that it needs to be sold, that really says something. I applaud his methods of encouraging people to take care of the Earth we have because, so far in space exploration, this is the only one available to us.

  4. Although it sounded strange to me at first...selling cans of air...I thought about how important of a message Guangbiao is sending to his community and nation. Just like water has become increasingly valuable through the selling of bottled water, canned air may just take off.
